Praba and I have been lifelong friends and it has been amazing. We have a very rare friendship, indeed. We met at an underage nightclub called "Jagg." Praba came up to my friend and starting talking to him. My back was initially toward her but I turned around and we saw each other and starting talking. I remember the "broach" on her blazer (Taking cues from Janet Jackson!)
The next week her and some of her friends came by our high school at lunch. I knew her friends and we just "gravitated towards each other." My friend was too shy to speak to her and I remember pushing him out of the way and thinking "She's too much for him!" That was in 1986 and I was Freshman and Praba was a Sophomore.
In college, we became better friends and I remember running into to Praba while I was working in Library at Saddleback College and she was at Cal State Fullerton. That was 1990 or 1991 and when I transferred to Cal State Northridge Praba and her sister shopped at Ikea, in Burbank, where I was a cashier! Great, fun times!
We remained friends throughout our 20's and 30's and we always made time to visit each other and catch up. We sometimes met at a restaurant in Beverly Hills or coffeeshop in LA. In my early 40's, I thought about her and I always wanted to date her. I reached out and shared my idea and after a while she came around. It has been an amazing journey with you, Praba that keeps getting better and better ~~Brian
I'm following Brian's story which goes back to the day we first met, which by the way was May 3 [our soon to be wedding date and eventually our anniversary date] and wanted to add that we are fortunate to have had our solid, enduring friendship as our foundation to build our life together for the past 12 years. Our life together has been full, rich and abundant with love, joy and mutual support through all the highs, lows and every days. Brian has always been my best friend and favorite person to hang out with, as long as I can remember. So happy to now spend my everyday with you ~~Praba
